The Fifth is being developed by two renowned real estate firms, Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi +Bilgili. Both firms share a similar vision and approach; continuously seeking to add value to the built environment by creating timeless and meaningful projects of artistic merit and superior quality, in collaboration with acclaimed architects, artists, and designers.

The Fifth brings together a distinguished team of leading designers including world renowned master architect, Alberto Campo Baeza, award-winning New York-based interior designers, Gabellini Sheppard Associates, Miami-based design collective, Urban Robot, and prestigious architectural firm, Cube3. This exceptional team has designed a remarkable building that is destined to become a landmark in Miami.

Alberto Campo Baeza

Alberto Campo Baeza is a renowned architect and professor. Born in Valladolid, raised in Cádiz, and now based in Madrid, Alberto Campo Baeza is celebrated throughout the world for his body of work. His refined and poetic buildings are pure and precise, with exceptional clarity. His previous works include: The House of the Infinite in Cádiz, the Olnick Spanu House in New York, Andalusia’s Museum of Memory and the Caja de Granada in Granada, and the offices for Junta de Castilla y León in Zamora.

Campo Baeza has won numerous awards including the RIBA International Fellowship in 2014 and was named Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2019. In 2021, he was awarded the National Prize for Architecture in his native Spain. The Fifth will be his first commercial building in the United States and his first project in Miami.

Gabellini Sheppard Associates

Gabellini Sheppard Associates is a New York-based, multi-disciplinary architecture and interior studio, founded in 1991 by Michael Gabellini & Kimberly Sheppard. Gabellini Sheppard are known for creating innovative and harmonious spaces of elevated simplicity. They have been mentioned in several design publications and have won numerous awards from organizations such as the American Institute of Architects, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, Progressive Architecture, the Municipal Art Society of New York, and the International Interior Design Association.

Their previous work includes: The Rainbow Room and Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center and the Knickerbocker Hotel in New York, the Armani Center in Milan, countless retail stores for Jill Sanders, The first Edition Hotel in Istanbul, the flagship retail store of 1436 in Beijing, and the luxury residential project, Five Park Miami Beach.

Sumaida + Khurana

Sumaida + Khurana is a New York-based development firm founded in 2012 by Saif Sumaida and Amit Khurana. The firm has extensive experience in real estate development and construction and is dedicated to improving upon the built environment by creating timeless buildings of craft and quality, in collaboration with the world’s finest master architects.

Two of their most recent projects include luxury New York condominium buildings, 152 Elizabeth Street, designed by Pritzker Laureate, Tadao Ando, and 611 West 56th Street, designed by Pritzker Laureate, Álvaro Siza.
